Hello Mission Friend

Its getting close to the next missions trip, I will be taking a group of 6 to London.

On the streets of London we will be witnessing to all that are around.

I have planned to street preach, others are preparing skits, and some will do some one on one wittiness. Last year as the Greece mission’s team walked the streets of Thessaloniki a seed was planted to go to London. We asked God to confirm the trip to us in some way so we would have assurance it was in his will. As always we were confirmed in many ways, so here we go.

Let me tell you a little about the last mission’s trip. As I mentioned before, my first trip was not even a thought much less a vision. I was committed to serving in Romania. God had a much bigger plan little did I know. I had no idea what I was going to do on a baseball mission’s trip? But God showed me straight away that organizational skills, forming friendships and personal testimonies were the extent of His plan the first year. As the next year approached Greece was my vision and God confirmed it, I prayed that this second trip I would be able to preach to the team “any place-any time”.

The last day of the trip was upon us and I had many opportunities to share my saviors good news with several individuals, by His hand two came to know him as savior on the streets of Thessaloniki Greece. I thought Gods plan was complete for this trip, yet I had not been able to speak to the team. As the last day was upon us we scheduled a ball game and fair well dinner that evening with the team. Now let me make this clear, for what I am about to tell you is true and I did see the unmistakable hand of God work again in my life as well as many others.

Sunday 1:00 pm we all gather at the ball field on a beautiful sunny day. As we all began to warn up, run, stretch and pitch back and to each other. A nice cloud formed over the field and brought some relief from the suns heat. Next it began to sprinkle a little but the guys said these showers never last long and it will be ok, just keep playing! Well the sprinkles turned to rain! “Note on the side of the field is a container about the size of a tractor trailer where we store the equipment” it began to rain harder and soon we all were looking for shelter. Well you guessed it everyone ran right into the container. Now I must say I was thinking of staying dry and looking for the rain to stop anytime but God had a plan. Well all at once I realized what was happening God was giving me the chance I had been praying for. I made my way to the back where Mike Penada was sitting and ask him if I could preach to the team. Without reservation he said go ahead. I made my way to the center of the container with a chair; up next to the side I placed the chair and stood up in it so all the guys could see me. I started with telling the team I was looking for an opportunity to speak to them and when I get done it would stop raining.

I preached, I read the Word to them, I gave pictures of sin, grace, and repentance I described who God was and who Jesus is and what he had done for them. For 45 min. I preached just as the Holy Spirit gave me to speak. When I was through I said a sinner’s prayer for anyone ready to accept the free gift of salvation. Many had questions after I concluded many said that the rain had come for a reason. The rain did stop when I was through, the sun returned and dried the field and we played our final ball game together.

I want to thank each of you that support me in Gods work, I use every dime for the mission trip, I do bring some souvenirs back for some, but can’t afford to spend Gods money on anything but His purpose. Thanks for your support and I pray God blesses you in each letter I send. Please pray about how you want to participate in the London trip. I will say this Holli and I both will be going with 4 others; this is the most expensive trip we have ever taken due to the location. I will pray God blesses on you so you can bless others. We will be leaving on August 4th through the 14th Please pray for us during your daily prayer time and especially if God prompts you to!

Thanks again for your support!

I love each of you!

Mike
